CMK Properties Breaks Ground on The Learning Zone’s Newest Childcare Facility in Huntsville

Huntsville, AL — On Monday, June 17th, CMK Properties began construction on The Learning Zone’s latest childcare facility on Balch Road in Huntsville, Alabama. This project marks CMK Properties’ second development for TLZ in the rapidly expanding Huntsville market.

The Learning Zone holds a strong reputation in the childcare industry, operating over 40 locations across three brands with a capacity exceeding 5,850 students. With 20 years of operational experience, it ranks as the nation’s 29th largest childcare operator, maintaining a remarkable 100% operational retention rate without closures.

Huntsville is set to become Alabama’s largest city by 2025 and is consistently ranked among the best places to live in the country. The new childcare center, scheduled to open in March 2025, will enhance Huntsville’s offerings of high-quality, accessible childcare. 

Tri–South Contractors based in Grayson, Georgia, will serve as the general contractor for the project, while KSA Architects will oversee the design of the structure. Check out the prototype of the property by watching the video here.
