CMK Properties Acquires Former Walmart Building for Tractor Supply Redevelopment

Baxter Springs, Kansas — CMK Properties is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of a 33,000 square foot former Walmart building which will be redeveloped into a new location for  Tractor Supply Company. This acquisition marks CMK’s second partnership with TSC.

The Baxter Springs Tractor Supply store will service approximately 4,000 residents, offering an extensive range of products essential for home, land, pet, and animal care. TSC’s dedication to product localization, exclusive brands, and exceptional customer service has propelled it to become the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States.

The renovation project includes a brand-new roof, parking lot enhancements, upgraded HVAC units, and other exterior and interior improvements tailored to Tractor Supply’s requirements. This renovation phase is expected to span twelve weeks, followed by an additional four weeks dedicated to preparing the store for its grand opening, scheduled for the first quarter of 2024.
